Allen Hayes, DVM

Allen graduated from Colorado State University in 1974. After beginning his career in Aurora, CO., he came to Boulder Veterinary Hospital in November of 1976 where he is now a partner. His special interests are internal medicine and soft tissue surgery and loving up to the furry critters. When Allen is not enjoying the people and pets of Boulder, he is spending family time with his wife, Cathy and daughter, Kayla, traveling, mountain biking, water and snow skiing, woodworking, fishing and is active in his church.



 
Craig Ansbaugh, DVM

Dr. Craig Ansbaugh is co-owner of Boulder Veterinary Hospital.  He graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary medicine in 1980 and began practice at Boulder Veterinary Hospital in August of that year.  His practice is limited to small animal medicine and surgery.  Craig is also a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist, having trained at the Colorado State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997 and 1998 and completed the certification process through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.  He is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, IVAS, and AAVA.  He and his wife and two children live in the foothills outside of Boulder.



Ed Berman, DVM

Dr. Edward Berman is the newest addition to Boulder Veterinary Hospital.  Ed spent two years as a veterinary assistant at Boulder Vet prior to admission to Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine.  Originally from coastal Connecticut, Ed is a graduate of the University of Vermont where he studied animal sciences and nutrition.  Ed’s professional interests include ophthalmology, anesthesiology, soft tissue surgery, pain management and oncology.  His personal interests include hiking with his two dogs, Eesha and Jazz, and skiing in Colorado's beautiful Rocky Mountains.

Rich Ellis, DVM

Dr. Rich Ellis is a 1994 graduate of Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine.  He did and internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Kansas State University in 1994-1995.  He has been a Colorado resident since 1986.  His professional goal is to help owners navigate the medical options available to them and their pets to meet their specific needs.  His hobbies include and obsession with plants and flowers, especially those that eat insects.
